Luiz Whately always wanted to tell stories that touched people emotionally. He was one of the founders of the collective called “Butchers”, that in a short period of time built an award winning reel, producing films with a strong visual appeal. In love with the arts since he was a child, Luiz specialized in graphic design before turning his attention to Cinema. Amongst his main projects are films for Under Armour, BMW, Smirnoff and Google. Today he is focused on creating films with fresh aesthetics that tell a story in a sensorial manner. Luiz has also been awarded prizes at the Cannes Festival, El Ojo de Iberoamerica, Clube de Criação and nominated for the Young Director Award at Cannes.
