Hernan Corera has worked as a director, photographer and musician since 2007. As a director, he begun his career making music videos for prominent Latin American artists, which led him to a nomination as best director at the Latin Grammys 2013 and a later win in 2016 on the same category with “Gallo Negro” for IKV. Since then, he has brought his bold and ambitious style to the advertising world, crafting heavyweight commercials and stills for the likes of Bankia, Coca-Cola and Rexona; and scooping himself a win at Cannes. As a photographer, Hernan calls on frequent collaborators, such as Rolling Stone Magazine, to push and cultivate his personal art and fashion projects. Recently, Vice Studios announced Hernan will be directing a scripted Spanish series they are developing with Nicolas Giacobone, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Birdman, titled La Misa del Diablo (The Devil’s Mass). Based on a book of the same name, the story centers around a cop trying to solve the mysterious murder of an Argentinian boy.
