He used China’s unique setting as the inspiration for his early film projects, and the blend of Eastern and Western cultures continue to be an integral part of his writing and directorial style. Upon graduating from high school in Beijing, he attended Duke University where he studied Biomedical Engineering and Economics before ultimately deciding to pursue directing in NYC. As the lead commercial director at BBDO for 7 years, Law garnered multiple awards at film and advertising festivals including the Cannes Lions, Clios, One Show, Andy’s, NY Festival, New Director Showcase, and mentions at the Sundance, Cannes, Rome, London, and Tribeca film festivals.
