Stink is proud to be opening its first office in Japan, Stink Tokyo. It will be helmed by Executive Producer Reiko Mori, who will bring her deep knowledge of Japan’s market and creative landscape to the position. Says Daniel Bergmann, Stink Films founder: “Reiko is an EP who we have long admired as one of the strongest and most experienced producers with great knowledge of the Japan market and how it fits with international talent. She is also someone who will help us to identify talented Japanese directors.” The first international production company to set up shop in Japan, Stink Tokyo will focus initially on its film offering, introducing its international directorial roster to the market there, as well as finding and nurturing Japanese directors and launching their careers throughout Stink’s global network. Daniel adds, “We believe there is great strength in our diversity at Stink. We have always been an international company, committed to amplifying creative voices from around the world, and see Stink Tokyo as an essential addition to our Stink family, one that will bring new style and energy to the mix and speak an aesthetic language that the new generation of consumer is looking for.”

Created in collaboration with the Royal Opera House and Nowness, it captures the passionate and primal culmination of dance troupe Culture Device’s residency. The first dance troupe of its kind, Culture Device is a group comprised solely of extraordinary dancers with Down Syndrome. Starring actress Sara Gordy MBE, the piece marks the 106th anniversary of Stravinsky’s scandalous work The Rite of Spring. Experimental Directors FoodFilm Sign to Stink

FoodFilm have signed to Stink Films London and Asia. The genius behind the hugely successful ‘Adventures in Imagination’ for M&S, and some further 60 films for the brand, they created the ‘food porn’ style the retailer became famous for. Widely recognized as global pioneers of modern food filmmaking and photography, their work is a sensorial feast for the eyes, full of colour, texture and movement. From Martini to Milka, Picard to Carte Noire, every ingredient fizzes, oozes or crumbles mouthwateringly dancing across the screen. Now, as well as with food, they increasingly work with luxury, perfume and cosmetics, taking this skill to a more conceptual level, crafting visual metaphors for product attributes for the likes of Neutrogena, Decleor, Garnier or l’Oreal.
