Spanish-German Born artist Astrid Sterner started taking pictures and filming her friends from a very young age. Astrid moved to London in 2007 where she studied Documentary and Fine Art Photography at Central Saint Martins. Once she graduated, Astrid was chosen for a special training program with the Magnum Collective for young upcoming photographers. As her love for documentary grew as did her curiosity to discover the world. She then moved to NYC in 2010, where renowned fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti took her under his wings. She would learn and work for him for several years. In 2014 Astrid launched her own career and has worked ever since for brands such as Nike, Chanel, Loewe, Tod’s, Vogue Italia, Vogue Spain, i-D Magazine, Interview Magazine, Paper Magazine, Dazed and Confused and V Magazine. Nowadays, Astrid splits her time between NYC and Europe but calls Berlin her home.
