Stanislas Liban grew up in Paris, where he still lives. He finds his models as well as the movements that inspire him in urban universes, at random in the streets and during his travels.
His photography is both spontaneous and constructed. Stanislas’ series of portraits, front and back, testify to a desire to place the model in his own universe. Although occupying most of the frame, his subjects are modest. They sometimes make us smile, others exude a discreet sensuality.
The instinctive aspect of his work allows Stanislas to make us feel the authenticity and intensity of his subjects, both in his personal projects and in his commissioned works.
