Angie Bárcenas

Biography

Angie Bárcenas is a Mexican director who blends art, animation, and film to tell visual stories full of emotion and purpose. She has a sharp eye for detail, endless curiosity, and a unique way of turning ideas into images that feel alive.

She studied Animation and Digital Arts at Tecnológico de Monterrey and earned a Master’s in Art Direction, Cinematography and Film/Video Production from ESdesign Barcelona. This mix of disciplines gave her a well-rounded creative vision and a natural ability to balance the technical and the emotional sides.

For several years, she worked as an independent director, collaborating with agencies and brands drawn to her creativity, intuition, and ability to approach projects from a fresh perspective. She also worked as Associate Creative Director and Set Art Director at Nativo Digital, developing campaigns for brands such as Heineken, Jose Cuervo, Rexona, Ax, Voit, and Nike, among others.

Now at Stink Films México, Angie keeps exploring new ways of storytelling. She’s passionate about leveraging creativity to connect with audiences in meaningful ways, experimenting with formats, styles, and emotions to craft work that feels honest, dynamic, and deeply human.
