Marcela Ilha Bordin

Marcela Ilha Bordin is a Brazilian screenwriter and director with a rather distinct career in commercial filmmaking. Starting in cinema, she had a great run in short and feature films, TV series and documentaries, with her work being featured in worldwide famous festivals such as Locarno, Torino, Bilbao, Indie Lisboa, Gramado, Rio and the Viennale. Moving on to commissioned work in 2020 for both advertising and music, she first collaborated with top shelf local and international commercial directors but rapidly progressed to solo filmmaking. Her films always bring forth a high level of craftsmanship, smart storytelling and clever humor.
